Single-shaft, low-speed shredder with hydraulically-pushed feed (optional), interchangeable screen mesh and PLC-controlled auto-reverse on overload. Fabricated for kitchen, garden, horticulture and food-processing residue pre-treatment ahead of a K-Drum or K-Thermo composter.

Common questions
When should I pick Single Shaft over Dual Shaft?
Single Shaft is right for soft / fibrous / kitchen-grade waste at up to 500 kg/hr. Dual Shaft is needed for woody material, MSW with contamination risk, hard plastics, larger throughput (up to 3000 kg/hr) and where auto-reverse jam clearing matters most. If your input has any chance of containing stones, metal or hard items, go Dual.
Can it be inbuilt into K-Drum / K-Thermo?
Yes. Most K-Drum and K-Thermo composters above 75 kg/day can be ordered with an inbuilt single-shaft shredder mounted on top. This integrates loading + shredding + composting into one footprint and removes manual transfer between machines.
What's the noise level — can it run inside a building?
Below 85 dB(A) at 1 m (well within OSHA 8-hr exposure limit). The low-speed (60–120 RPM) design is specifically chosen for indoor / institutional use. For sensitive environments (hospitals, schools), an acoustic enclosure is available — drops noise another 10–15 dB.
Knife life expectancy?
SS 304 hardened knives: typically 8–12 months at normal kitchen + garden duty. Each knife is 4-side rotatable — flip when one edge dulls. Hardox / DC53 upgrade extends life 30–50% for harsher inputs. Replacement kits stocked at Manesar.
What about hydraulic pusher?
Optional hydraulic ram (4–6 ton) helps with stiff fibrous material that doesn't drop into the rotor on gravity feed alone — useful for woody garden prunings, palm fronds, dense food-processing waste. Adds a small CapEx but eliminates a common operator complaint.
What's the typical CapEx?
Indicative ex-Manesar (2026): 7.5 kW / 200 kg/hr ~₹3.5–4.5 L · 11 kW / 350 kg/hr ~₹5–6 L · 22 kW / 500 kg/hr ~₹7.5–9 L. Add hydraulic pusher (~₹1.5 L), VFD soft-start (~₹0.6 L), discharge conveyor (~₹1–2 L) as optional.
